Mountainlair Gluck Theatre

Emily Lehr is pleased to be making her fourth appearance at Mountaineer Week! A native West Virginian, Emily Lehr finds comfort in the tradition of her Appalachian roots while maintaining her own spin on her sound. Borrowing from the likes of Carole King, Joni Mitchell and Bonnie Raitt, Lehr incorporates elements from a previous generation in addition to current influences such as Lizzy McAlpine, Sarah Jarosz and Kacey Musgraves. In her debut project, The Drive Home, listeners can hear a love letter to West Virginia, written about home, family, and the complexities of finding your way through faith and self-discovery.

Also, a West Virginia native, Ryan Brandenburg specializes in American folk music. With the help of his acoustic guitar and clawhammer banjo, Brandenburg plays a mix of traditional Appalachian tunes and original music. The duo wrapped up their “Sad-Alachia Summer” tour earlier this year and are looking forward to performing together for Mountaineer Week
