Food is to West Virginian culture like pepperoni is to rolls: inseparable!

This year, Mountaineer Week is full of new events that highlight our region's unique cuisine. Join us for some of the following food features:

Country Vittles Dinner Buffet

A traditional and delicious Appalachian homemade meal that any West Virginia native would remember! Featuring turkey drummond, carved ham, green beans, potatoes, pies, cobbler, and more. Musical entertainment provided by  Dina Hornbaker.

147 Years of Dinnerware with the Homer Laughlin China Company
You can't have a great Appalachian meal without something beautiful to eat the food on! Enjoy learning about the history of the Homer Laughlin China Company of Newell, WV, and their famous Fiesta dinnerware. A donation will be made of a three-piece set of baking bowls and a two-piece prep bowl set.

Join Chef Mel for cooking demonstrations and free samples of this traditional homecooked meal that any West Virginia grandparent would have made. Presented by Chef Melanie Campbell, Graceland Inn at Davis and Elkins College.

Join the Alumni Center for an afternoon of local food trucks, live bluegrass music, and more fun before the Mountaineer Week football game versus Baylor.

Mountaineer Week at Evansdale Crossing
Kick back and relax with a live performance by the Davisson Brothers Band and enjoy Appalachian food and drink specials in Panini Pete's at the Evansdale Crossing. Presented by Coca-Cola.

Funnel Cakes, Kettle Corn, and Pork Rinds
Stop by the front of the Mountainlair any day during Mountaineer Week for these delicious Appalachian treats, presented by local food trucks.
