A native of Martinsburg, W.Va., songwriter and instrumentalist Emily Lehr’s introspective lyrics explore the emotional complexity of life as a young adult in these trying contemporary times. Influenced by such songwriters as Jon Foreman, Sara Bareilles, Matt Thiessen and Hazel Dickens, Lehr crafts hooky melodies that she delivers with the emotional intensity of a mountain ballad. Currently a music therapy major at West Virginia University, she is a classically-trained violinist and the lead singer of the WVU Bluegrass Band. Learn more on Instagram @emilylehrmusic

The Honeysuckle Vines

The Honeysuckle Vines is a bluegrass and folk trio comprised of multi-instrumentalists and vocalists Mary Linscheid, Anna Dunham and Emily Lehr. The three met in the Appalachian music ensemble at WVU in 2019. Inspired by musicians like Hazel Dickens, Anna & Elizabeth, Alison Krauss, and I’m With Her, The Honeysuckle Vines feature musical selections with three-part harmonies and eclectic vocal blends.
