DIY Holiday Ornaments

Sewing and hand-made ornaments have a rich history in Appalachian culture. 
During Mountaineer Week, WVU Students may reserve a DIY holiday ornament kit to celebrate this tradition.

Hand-sewn West Virginia holiday ornament.

The kit includes everything needed to make the ornament, including the fabric, embroidery hoop, needle and thread. 
Reservations will open Nov. 7, 2022.

Kits will be available for pickup Nov. 10-11, 2022 between 10am and 5pm at the Mountainlair Box Office.
