The Mountaineer Week Photo Contest is open to all WVU students. Applicants may submit no more than three 4×6 photographs (color or black and white.) All photographs will be judged on the theme Capture West Virginia’s Scenic Beauty on Film.
The “Keep it Wild & Wonderful” category, as part of WVU’s WECAN Ecolympics competition focuses on recycling and energy conservation as way we can all keep the land we love pristine for future generations. Entrants must submit a photo of a WV landscape – whether it is a mountain view, babbling brook, or an urban sanctuary – that visually represents why we should all try to be a little bit more sustainable. You may only submit 1 photo for the Ecolympics category, and you will receive 1 point.
To submit a photo for the Ecolympic category please save the file in the following format, inserting your information (firstname_lastname_ecolympics).
All entries should be submitted in jpg. format and sent via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
All entries will be on display, on the first floor of the Mountainlair, during Mountaineer Week, October 26 – November 4.
1st Place – $100 & Ribbon
2nd Place – $75 & Ribbon
3rd Place – $50 & Ribbon

People’s Choice – Ribbon
