Applications for Mr. & Ms. Mountaineer are now available at the Mountainlair Information Desk or click the link below. This prestigious award honors one male and one female student who have a record of academic achievement and extracurricular involvement.

Application Deadline

All applications must be received to the Mountainlair Administrative Office by 4:30 P.M.
2008 Application

Elgibility

All undergraduate applicants must be eligible for graduation by May, 2009. All graduate applicants must complete their last semester on campus by May, 2009.

Judging & Interviewing

A panel, that will select five male and female finalists, will review the applications. A second panel of judges, who will determine the winners, will then interview these finalists.

The Review Panel will meet on Thursday, October 9 from 2 – 4 P.M.

Interviews will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 6-9 P.M.
Ladies will interview in the Kanawha Room, Mountainlair
Men will interview in the Cacapon Room, Mountainlair

Game Day Information

Finalists will be presented and winners announced during the WVU vs. Cincinnati (Mountaineer Day) football game, on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008.
